Husqvarna ChainSaw 435 16-Inch 40.9cc 2 Stroke Gas Powered

I decide to buy this Husqvarna chainsaw to use it for my clearing activities for some excavation work. I fell, limbed out and cut through 6 solid oak trees and a pine. The largest diameter I encountered was 18”. I cut the 4 trees for thanksgiving and the rest for the next days. To note, I don’t have any problems starting this chainsaw for both warm and cold environment temperatures. If you do have, just follow what is in the manual. The manufacturers know exactly what they are saying. It serves me with optimum performance and ease operation. I also don’t have problems carrying this up a ladder.

I have been using several chainsaws over the years. For clearing a property with soft and hard wood of 2” to 14” diameter trees, I went to buy this Husqvarna 435. Using this saw made me feel my decision was right. I didn’t have hard time starting it. Just make sure you read the instructions. This saw is a great deal.

The only issue I have for this is its bar and chain. The chain becomes loose sometimes and the bar seems to deteriorate quickly. This was quite a trouble for me as I have to buy replacement parts. I also suggest that you buy good quality replacements. Unless you are patient enough to bear this issue, you can do your thing. But as for me, it took me minutes to get it back to normal.

I am glad having this chainsaw. I was looking for a saw that has a larger engine and longer bar than my Echo 14” 33 cc. Although Echo produces excellent saws, I cannot keep it myself that this Husqvarna executes optimum performance. It cuts through large trees without strains and runs very, very well. This is also easy to maintain and tune up. But I have quite a hard time staring up the Husqvarna. I have had to pump the primer about 6 times when the weather is cold. I think it’s because the engine is 60 cc. With a much higher fuel volume, the gas usage is efficient. it also have a sight glass to see the fuel level.

To put it in detail, here are the pro’s and con’s:

  • Pro’s: Husqvarna chainsaw has great power, runs smoothly, easy manual chain adjustment, good balance and weight distribution. It also comes at 18” but with 20”, I can do a lot more work. I cut through a lot of trees easily. You only have to exert little pressure when cutting a tree, that’s why it gives you more comfort and less stress.
  • Con’s: When cold, you will have quite a tough time to start it. But that just, in other case, it starts easily. This made me happy and I wouldn’t think twice for a repeat order.
